TS3 Voice Communication

Does TS3 sound a lot better than TS2 does? Before today I never really cared about which programme we use, but Doomie set up a test Mumble server and after trying it today I must say the difference in sound quality between it and TS2 is astounding. Thrax and Sattori literally sounded like they were in the same room with me, and their voices were also much different. They no longer sounded "flat". It really was a dramatic change.

So how is the quality on TS3? Better? MUCH better? Same old? Opinions?

normally yes. we will give a chance and if its not better then before we change to mumble

Sound quality is better, but will still be worth trying mumble out.
Seems to work OK after initial hickups, it did not want to accept the IP address.

We did get a few server connection drops, but these only lasted for a couple of minutes.

Kacy, a couple of days notice would have been nice, before the switch.
Even if we could not have set it up, we could have downloaded and installed the client in advance.

I installed TS3 now, and we'll see how it goes.

I tested today and i'm totaly in favor of Mumble... it's great quality, u see who's talking in-game. Even when ur playing music, when someone talks the music automaticaly goes a few notches down so u can hear what he's saying...


But haven't tested TS3 to the fullest yet...

Yeah the overlay where you can see the list of the people on your mumble channel while playing Aion full screen is really cool. It even hilites who is speaking at the time, so no more confusion about whose voice belongs to who.

Still... gotta test TS3 too, maybe it has the same cool features.

So the most different things between TS 3 and Mumble are

TS3: you can choose more or less Voice loudness from everyone

Mumble : you see ingame who is talking

Soundquality i cant see different quality.. so i dont care choose what you want

I also can't really see a diffrence between the quality of sound.... But I prefer to use TS3.. ^^
